How did Scout wind up with a blanket across her shoulders?
In the book it doesn’t really specify how the blanket ended up on her shoulders. The book hints that it is Arthur “Boo” Radley was the one that put the blanket on Scout’s shoulders. Mr. Nathan was out of the house, helping Ms. Maudie with getting furniture out of her house while it was on fire. That would explain how Boo got out of the house with no one knowing. So it is most likely Boo Radley put the blanket on Scouts shoulder.

I agree that the book does not have a clear explanation on how the blanket ended up on scouts shoulders other then the small hints we received of Boo's assistance. I would like to add a little to hoe the blanket ended up on scout, what drove Boo to do it?
ReplyDeleteI believe that Boo was driven to put the blanket around Scout’s shoulders because of the connection that had begun to create with “his children.” He had given them gifts and they had accepted, we don’t know for sure but this may have been the first relationship he had begun in over 15 years. This relationship that he had started with the kids may have been small but it meant a whole lot to him. Already we begin to see the love that Boo shows for Jem and Scout and how much he values them, because of this we begin to wonder. Is Boo really that bad of a guy?
